I've forgotten just how good Infernal Affairs (aka, the film that was remade into The Departed) is.

A friend had the International release where they had English and French dub versions, and that was such a melodramatic failboat of lol.

The movie is intense. I've always vaguely remembered the movie as "good", but re-watching years later and am still crying and short of breath at various scenes? So much, so much love.

I just want to give Tony Leung's character a hug. He deserves one sfm.

Anyhow. Yes, so if you haven't seen it, you really really should. It's an intensely suspenseful, fast-paced action cop film, cop vs. gangster, except where the cop is the gangster and the gangster is the cop. Complicated and brilliantly done.

I adore Heath!), and X Japan has a world tour? No Canadian locations though, boo, and more boo, Alex left ONE OK ROCK because of (wrongful, by some accounts) charges, which sucks, but I already knew that, no words still on their wiki page. Oh, and Hikki and BoA are not making too much of a mark in US yet; my fingers are still crossed for BoA cuz girl can dance, yo and I was heavily disappointed by Hikki's album, so.

Phew. I think I'm mostly caught up? Anything else I missed?

OH WAIT WHAT: Miyavi is going to be a daddy? And is married to Melody? That's like, Marlyn Manson getting together with Heidi Montag or something, an uber visual kei marrying an insignificant pop starlet. And he is going to be a daddy. After two weeks of eating microwaveable oatmeal for breakfast, I am bored. Even if I change up the frozen fruit I add in, I am itching to eat other stuff.

What are some healthy breakfast alternatives?

(Though I have to say: I adore frozen food. I have taken over the unused company freezer. It's filled with frozen fruits, frozen vegetables, frozen Stouffer meals, and my measuring cup. It's SO convenient. <3)

Between work, random people randomly deciding to 1) visit and 2) live at my house, I have had no me time at ALL, meaning my room, study, and washroom is littered with clothing, books from school, essays, random pieces of food items and bits and pieces of paper.

UGH. I'm either pulled out to dinner here, or my students need to change their schedule there or whatever. It's been a nightmare.

On top of that, my mom decided to buy a new desktop computer with VISTA installed. It took me 15 minutes to set up the hardware, and I AM STILL INSTALLING SOFTWARE/CONFIGURING STUFF. It is the single most frustrating piece of ANYTHING I've had the pleasure of getting my hands on. NOTHING IS COMPATIBLE. THE INTERFACE IS NEEDLESSLY FLASHY. NOTHING WORKS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I decided to download XP and reformat the drive, so I need to reinstall Azureus on my laptop.

BUT NO, what happened to Azureus? It's now VUZE and decides it wants to install a toolbar on Firefox. NO I SAY, STOP DOING THINGS THAT I HAVEN'T TOLD YOU TO DO. Did Azureus sell out to Vuze or something? I remember I loved it before the name change. GAH.

And now, I need to sleep, because I need to get up at 6 because the bus leaves at 7 for work. ARGHHHHHH.

I'm participating in a brain study (for my Cognitive Psych class) AND THEY'RE DOING AN MRI OF MY BRAIN!!!!!!

That is all sorts of awesome, because I wanted to see what my brain looked like in an MRI but didn't want to be sick to have get a scan.

This is great, and I get $50 in compensation for two hours! Well, maybe three, since I have to travel there and back, but still, MRI picture! On the 19th!
